I don't care if it cannot copy all files.but i want it to immeidately skip files which are difficult to retrieve.the xcopy and SecureCopy keep on trying for at least 5 minutes before skipping each file that cannot be copied. So i downloaded a file copy utility called Securecopy which automatically skip files which had errors.and i also tried xcopy with /c switch which supresses the "inpage error" messages and continue copying.īut still it is taking a very very long time to copy a handful files. i guess this is because of the corrupt CD.So i have to skip those files and start the copy operation again. So i decided to back up my entire collection.there are over 100,000 files.most are 5 to 500 kb in sizeīut when i copy them using Windows Explorer, it stops abruptly after copying a few files saying "Error Performing Inpage Operation". I have a clip-art library on a donzen CDs which i use quite extensively.lately some of the CDs are not reading properly
